Covid 19 Tip #3: In these uncertain times, a bit of advanced preparation can save a lot of heartache and create peace of mind.
Today’s tip is this: take the time to make a list of people you trust to help you with your responsibilities and then make sure they know how to contact each other.
First, think through your responsibilities, and think through your typical week. Who depends on you? If you were ill, stuck at work, or unable to function for awhile, who would help?
Now, make a list of your important contacts. These would include, closest family/ friends, a trusted neighbor, your pet sitter, and any others who would help with your kids, pets, or home.
If you own a business, make a list of your key employees, your C.P.A., banker, landlord and other key business contacts.
Now, make sure that the relevant people have copies of the list, or at the very least, know how to contact each other. If you ever have an emergency of any kind, you may not be able to make all of the phone calls necessary.
