November is adoption month. All month long, national awareness is turned towards adoption and adoptive families everywhere are remembering the events that shaped their families and made their lives complete.
November 18th is National Adoption Day, a day which is “a collective, national effort to raise awareness of more than 110,000 children in foster care waiting for permanent and loving families.”
In addition, many family courts throughout the U.S. have their own Adoption Day events, and often adoptive families will specifically plan to finalize their adoptions on that particular day, in order to be part of the celebration.
Here at Kalish Law Office, we couldn’t be more proud of our long history working with adoptive families. Since 1984, we have helped families with all kinds of adoptions: domestic adoptions, international adoptions, step-parent adoptions, adult adoptions, adoptions involving CPS, private adoptions, open adoptions- we love our adoptive families!
Congratulations to all of our adoptive families that have become complete and to those who are in the process of making that happen!
