Sorry, Not Sorry! Why we do the Things we Do to Protect Your Confidentiality

January 7, 2019 By Kalish Law Office

You’ve heard it over and over… how and why you should take care of your personal information.  In this digital age, it takes effort to do so.

SO….. I just want to take a moment to explain to our clients why we do the things we do.  If you are a client at our office, you may have been told NOT to send certain information by a certain method, NOT to continue a conversation  to us via text or Messenger, even though it is a lot more convenient.  Or you may have been asked to use a registered courier service to send us certain documents.  We may have frustrated you by requiring that your loved one or employee have written authorization to talk to us without you. AND we may have spoiled your day by requiring that you use  your lunch hour to come to the office or have a phone conference to give us a small amount of information.

All I can say is “Sorry, not sorry!”

We are sorry that we all have to work so hard to protect what is our own from those who would misuse it, and that it can require a lot of extra time.  But we aren’t sorry that we put our efforts into protecting YOU and your personal information.

So, next time we ask you to make that extra call, or sign that extra form (even though you’ve already told us we are authorized), or we seem to be rudely discontinuing a digital chat, just remember, we are dedicated to keeping your personal information away from unauthorized prying eyes.
